This is yours truly with the family
(Me, in my Jammies and all. My Mom, my Godmother, My Sis El, behind us is my Godsister Karen and Mr Bubbles next to her would be my Brother!)
It’s been so long since I last posted that I don’t even know what I rambled about last time. Typical! I did start this super long and perhaps even profound one a little while ago, but after awhile it stopped flowing and I got bored.
Adjustment period is certainly a little smoother and a lot less life altering. Time certainly helps, not to mention an obnoxious schedule. But in all the craziness, I find comfort. Like hello, my schedule could not possibly get any crazier as it was whilst I was in London.
I am finding that as time passes, it’s easier to move in the now, instead of reverting back. Seasons Seasons! It seems one of my main lessons in life is to recognise my seasons and act accordingly.
It has to be said, I am appreciating the fact that I am still in constant contact with a couple of friends who keep me well entertained. My weekends are just not the same without the chaos of a Conference Call via Skype! You guys rock!
In my last blog I had made the decision to call Waterloo home, so I did. Went to the Connect Group on the Tuesday, and the most hillarious bit of it all was that I met another chick Marie, who was also there for the first time….and no one else. We sat for the next couple of hours jabbering to each other about everything. Total God appointment! We got along so well! We talked so much that we didn’t realise that the Connect group had situated on the other side, and had commenced. Ooops! We thought no one had showed up. Needless to say we’ve bonded for life. Marie has this super amazing energy that you just can’t help but get infected. She makes me laugh!
That week I also started dance classes. Ha! Un-co-ordinated PARTY OF ONE!! Oh boy! It’s hillarious! Most of all it’s fun. It’s different.
Also had a great opportunity to hang out with Amachi that Saturday after meeting Marie & Debby for coffee before going to the service together. We got to catch up! I had forgotten how much we had! We caught up and just had a great time making fun of each other. I remembered just how much I had gone through with John. I am soooo excited for his wedding tomorrow. It’s about time! Maz is going to be even more gorgeous tomorrow than she already is. He is way blessed with Maz. Special thanks for keeping your promise Mach of waiting till I get back! Yay!
Oh before I forget, special Happy Birthday to Ross, as it is his birthday tomorrow!!! Have a fantabulous day!
Connect has been soooo cool! I love it. Now that Marie and I have finally met the rest of our crew it’s even better! Debby, Bona, Marcus, Irma, Emily, and Jay, they’re very warm and welcoming and I feel very at home with them. Thank you God!
Ummm…what else? Been hanging out with the Sis and the Stitch in their aboad. Which is always a nice vacation.
Had a nice Saturday with Mer as wel celebrated her birthday in true girl fashion. We hit the road early for Koorong (Christian Book Store) one of the biggest ever! *eyes glazes over*. We got lost, as only Mer and I could. We had fun despite of it! It just just nice to have a one on one with Mer. I love how when we get the opportunity to do that we can just pick up where we left off. I’m finding that’s not the case with everyone…duh E! From the bookstore we met up with Ann for out pamper afternoon, filled with Manicure and Pedicure and a lil waxing. We then took over the Lee bathroom and the girly makeovers began. Ann in charge of both mine and Mer’s make up. It was sooo funny. We a lot of laughs. We had a nice dinner at Wazza’s before heading back to Mer’s.
Well…seeing as I am at work and slowly losing consciousness from boredom, I shall sign off. Hope all is well with all.
Much love, E
